27 Pages with Photographs>BR> Identification marks on this gun are generally to be found as follows: (1) Name of maker, gage, model, and barrel boring are stamped on the top of the barrel near the breech end. (2) Serial number of the gun is stamped on the lower face of the barrel near the breech end, and on the lower face of the forward end of the receiver. (3) On solid-frame gun, maker’s name and model are stamped on the action slide bar, and the serial number of the gun as in (2) above.
