Identification marks on these guns are generally to be found as
follows:
(1) Name of maker and chamber length are stamped on the left sideof the barrel near the breech end, and serial number of the gun in theoperating handle bar slot in the left side of the barrel head.
(2) Name of maker and model number are stamped on the left sideof the receiver and the serial number of the gun on the trigger plate tang (M520 and M620).
(3) On the M62OA Gun, the serial number is stamped on the forward face of the trigger plate.
(4) On the M520 Gun (riot type), the letters U. S. are stamped on the left side of the receiver, and the serial number of the gun on the trigger plate tang.
